Latest updates about Pfizer and BioNtech’s vaccine come with hopes that COVID-19 vaccine is within reach. The analysis news has shown that this new vaccine is 90% effective to prevent coronavirus infection. This update is much better than most scientists had hoped for.

The World Health Organization head and its chief scientist applauded Monday announcements by Pfizer and BioNTech that final stage trials of their vaccine have proven 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 infections.

"We welcome the encouraging vaccine news from Pfizer & BioNTech Group & salute all scientists & partners around the world who are developing new safe, efficacious tools to beat COVID-19," WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus tweeted.

John Bell, Regius professor of medicine at Oxford university Said that the Pfizer team had shown “an amazing level of efficacy” and it could mean a RETURN TO NORMALITY by spring. “I’m the first guy to say that but I will say it with some confidence.”

Dr Albert Bourla, the Pfizer chairman and CEO said “Today is a great day for science and humanity. The first set of results from our phase 3 COVID-19 vaccine trial provides the initial evidence of our vaccine ability to prevent COVID-19.

Vaccine manufacturing is on a good stage, too. Pfizer said that they expect to supply up to 50M vaccine doses globally in 2020 and up to 1.3bn doses in 2021.



Hopes are soaring that manufacturing COVID-19 vaccine is going to help health tourism. Experts believe the strong demand for a coronavirus vaccine and the ongoing initiatives to procure the vaccine may be the boost for the health tourism recovery.
