There are two things about Iran that relate to this subject and everybody knows about them, hot springs and deserts. In terms of hot springs in Iran, you can find it in cities such as Sirch (Kerman), Sar’eyn (Ardabil) and Geno (Bandar Abbas), in the springtime of course. This hot spring phenomenon that we talked about results in somewhat traditional spas, which are very popular among tourists.
Tourists from all over the world come to Iran for this spas, and it’s no wonder why, it heals skin problems, it’s relaxing therefore it helps to reduce stressful individuals. Patients from all sorts of places like Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan and even India come to Iran for that.
Urmia Lake in Iran and also the therapeutic properties of water and Mud is an example of these sites. This lake is the sixth largest saltwater lake on earth.
In southeast Iran, the shifting sands of Lut Desert forge a living work of art. Between June and October, subtropical tempests sweep over the landscape, creating aeolian forms—corrugated ridges caused by wind erosion. The same phenomenon has also been observed on other planets like Mars, giving it an otherworldly quality. It’s also one of the hottest places on Earth, according to NASA. In 2005, it reached a record temperature of 159.3°F (70.7°C)
 
Another health tourism site is the Iran’s first UNESCO Geopark: Qeshm island. The biodiverse isle is also home to salt caves, mangroves, coral reefs, turtle hatching sites, and the Hara forests.
Also, Sarein is pioneer as Iran’s health tourism. The existence of hot water mines in this city has been famous in Iran. Every year, tourists from all over the country and around the world travel to Iran with the purpose of skin care, joint pain, rheumatism, and so on.
Hyrcanian forest (Caspian Forest) granted the areas with unique richness of biological diversity, its endemic and endangered species, its natural beauty and its masterpieces of nature creative genius in the form of this ancient forest. More than 90% of the forest area is in Iran. Caspian Hyrcanian Forest contains remnants (refugia) of the broad leaf forests that once covered most of the North Temperate Zone 25 - 50 million years ago, in the early Cenozoic Era.
