Hypospadias repair is a surgery for correcting birth defects of urethra opening in boys. In this disorder, the urethra isn’t located on its normal position at the tip of the penis and instead ends on the head of the penis, along the shaft or on the scrotum.

Hypospadias repair is often a one-stage surgery. If the patient is a proximal case (opening is near or within the scrotum) with severe chordee (extreme curvature at the junction of penis head and shaft) the surgery is performed in two stages. First, the surgeon straitens the penis and then the urinary channel is made.

Some patients are considered high-risk cases that aren’t eligible for this surgery:

• Serious congenital disorders

• Blood clotting disorder

• Severe cardiac disease

• Severe kidney dysfunction (Creatinine >2)

• Severe liver dysfunction

• Chronic PAD kidney disease

• Serious brain disease

• Serious pulmonary disease

EXCLUSIONS:

• Charges billed for inpatient stays in excess of four nights (additional charges for these days, including room and other charges, will be added to the package price at normal hospital rates.)

• Charges for complex cases requiring additional surgeries, ICU or CCU admission or other conditions requiring equipment and hospital stays in excess of four nights.

• Blood transfusion.

• Outpatient fees and expenses incurred before admission.

• Additional testing (if needed) including ultrasound, echocardiography, etc.

• Personal items like drinks, guest meals and telephone bill

• Take home medications and supplies.
